K-12 students engage in artistic peacebuilding by exchanging heartfelt artwork with children from countries that are culturally very different from the USA. This program is brand new for 2019-20!
High school art students create portraits as special gifts for children around the world who have faced war, violence, poverty, neglect, family loss, or other challenges. 160,000 portraits and counting for children in 55 countries since 2004.
COMING IN 2020
In this one-to-one exchange, American K-12 students will engage in international, creative bonding by sharing handwritten poetry with children from different cultures. The poems will focus on students' hopes for their future and the future of the planet.
